For Marrakech Biennale 6 curated by Reem Fadda, I installed « stay Safe » at El Badi Palace and Koutoubia Mosque.  « Stay Safe »  is a gesture which claims thèse places as sites of arrival.

“Stay Safe” questions how identity is formed when cultural, historical or physical boundaries are shifted.  It is symbolic of an external drive that cuts through unexpectedly into the temporality of the space. Is it a vehicle for hope or an abandoned object? How does the parachute interact with internal landscapes of tradition – historic sites that occupy an important place in the culture and heritage of the site, yet also embody the identity of a people?
